We are getting excited about our upcoming visit to Hobletts! The minibus is booked and letters are going home soon. We’re looking forward to seeing their new playground equipment and talking to their Eco council.
Look out for our new bins on the playground today! We managed to get them out before the heavens opened!

Exciting arrival!

After we completed our environmental review and then discussed with our classes how we could improve school, we decided we needed some recycling bins for our playground as we didn’t have any.

We decided we should have a bin to recycle plastic bottles and another bin to recycle fruit – banana skins, orange peel, apple cores etc.

We chose the colours to match our uniform and the school tree logo. We think they look great! It’s brilliant that we’re helping the environment. This week we are discussing with our classes where they should go on the playground.

This week’s meeting

Today school council continued to discuss ideas for our brain tumour charity fundraiser. We are going to vote on the following ideas:
Cake sale,
Messy hair day,
Non uniform day,
Pyjama day,
Sponsored run,
Rainbow theme day.
Results of the voting to come next week.

We’re also excited about an upcoming trip- more information on that to follow!

Fundraiser ideas

Today school council have discussed fundraiser ideas for this half term. We are going to ask our classes if they can come up with more ideas so we can raise some money for the brain tumour charity.
We also chose and ordered the recycling bins for our playground. We’d like to have one bin for plastics & another for fruit so it doesn’t all go into the same bin!
