School Council

School Council were in action today. They’ve been busy gathering their fellow classmates’ ideas on healthy snacks.
We’re also getting ready for our exciting visit to the Houses of Parliament in 2 weeks! They’re going to do some research to find out some interesting facts to share at next week’s meeting.

Eco Council

Eco Council were like spies around school today for Switch Off day. They went around school investigating how much energy we use in all our classrooms and even in Mr B’s office!
How energy friendly are we? Could we do more to save energy? Outcomes to follow next week…

Eco Council

Eco Council were amazing tour guides for the Eco squad from Howe Dell who came to spend the morning with us! They showed them all of our Eco friendly areas and especially loved making huge spider webs in our forest! We’re looking forward to seeing them again soon to share more great ideas.

Eco Council

Well done Laura on designing this poster at home to raise awareness of the importance of energy saving. She is taking her role on Eco Council very seriously and trying to spread the message of reduce, reuse and recycle.

This is a vital message, which is particularly apt for our Switch Off Day this Friday.

School Council

School Council discussed healthy snacks today. They’ve gone off to ask their classes for ideas on this for break times.
I’ve also set them a task to have another look at our updated blog on the school website.
We also discussed our upcoming trip to the Houses of Parliament- they are very excited!

School Council as interviewers!

Everyone in school was treated today to a performance by some musicians from a local secondary school. They were very talented! The children enjoyed listening and even joined in too!
School Council then got the chance to interview the musicians. I was really impressed with the questions they came up with! They found out a lot about their music and what inspires them to play. Hopefully some of children will also now be inspired to learn to play music or sing.
