We’ve had a great day at the Houses of Parliament today! The children have learnt so much about the history of the building. We got to visit both the House of Lords and the House of Commons! We also got to meet Richard Harrington, our local MP. The children were brilliantly behaved and asked such great questions!
We were busy preparing for our upcoming trip to the recycling centre today. We watched some videos about recycling and the children are going to come up with some good questions to ask when we are there. They can then relay the important recycling message to the rest of the school!
In today’s meeting, we discussed our trip to the Houses of Parliament. The reps thought hard about what type of questions they’d like to ask Richard Harrington.
They’re also going to ask their classes for ideas on a name for our new building on the playground. I look forward to seeing what they come up with!
School Council have found out that they’re going on a trip to the Houses of Parliament next week- they were very excited!
